The World Heritage Site, and National Nature Reserve, the Giant’s Causeway, is just around the corner – spend a day in the company of the most photographed attraction in Ireland formed 60 million years ago.  The internationally important rock formations formed as North America split away from Europe and the ruptured crust bled great floods of magma which slowly cooled to form what we see today.  The ancient myth that surrounds the Causeway is that of a Celtic giant, Fionn MacCumhail (Finn McCool) who built the Causeway path to bridge the Irish Sea to reach his Scottish rival, Benandonner.

The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge will challenge brave little explorers and adults as you make your way across an expanse made famous by a Guinness ad.

Splash through the Atlantic breakers as some of the best beaches in Europe are right on your doorstep - a day at the seaside building sandcastle and skipping stones is a must for families.
